This is the story of Warmables, why we came up with it and how it ended up becoming a business.
As we are one year into our new venture we realize just how many folks are interested in healthier lunches for the entire family and do welcome a little reminder every so often.
We have encountered tremendous interest from many households across the country.
Many of you have helped us along our way by publishing Warmables reviews on your blogs, told your friends about us or purchased Warmables for others. Fundraisers have taken place in many communities and are making it exciting for us to stay focused on our mission to help leading America to a healthier lifestyle.

Our site is being developed as we go along, it will continue to change.
After starting out with Warmables for kids only we have added Warmables for the office and 5 pit bag products. Demand is growing and our mission is starting to take very clear shape.

A healthy portion of our proceeds coming directly from online sales is donated to families in need, charities and other institutions of our choice.
So get together with your friends and families, organize a simple fundraiser and get Warmables products at reduced prices.
Please know that all Warmables products are made by us (your Warmables team) in a small sewing studio in Jersey City as the orders come in.
Materials are purchased in the USA and Canada only.
We are totally focused on healthier lunches, our economy and environment.
Warmables will not be produced overseas. Instead of cheap production done in China or elsewhere we are offering work for a handful of us, supporting our economy where we can.
Our Warmables lunch systems are delivered as 3 or 4 piece sets (the Warmables pouch, liner, a BPA-free food container and a cherry pit bag) and do not produce any garbage at all.
Warmables pit bag products are made of natural cotton and filled with real cherry pits.
Packaging materials are kept to a bare minimum for environmental reasons.

In addition we are sending out a free, weekly newsletter to those who are interested.
The letter is simple yet effective and will give you recipes and tips to make easy healthy changes to your lifestyle. We have recently added a monthly free giveaway for our followers, readers and supporting members. Our way of saying THANK YOU! Again.

Enough said. Here is our story:

 
As a family of three we are very concerned about what we eat and cook most of our meals.
Once our son became of school age we noticed that fatty Burgers and a cheap cookie along with sugar loaded fruit punch seemed to be regulars in our son’s school cafeteria.

Given our love for fresh, healthy food my husband and I decided to change that. We where determined to find a way of packing a warm, nutritious lunch for our son and keep it warm until lunchtime.
We came up with first ideas for a warming pouch.
As an experienced seamstress I started making piles of actual samples using various materials.
Our son was the test person and took many interesting looking warming pouches to school. What we did realized during that time was that MANY parents shared our problem: they wanted their children to eat more nutritious lunches but got stuck with PB&J’s. Moms and dads started asking us if our gadget worked. They asked to buy one once it did. It took us a year to succeed. Our gadget is now called WARMABLES and many parents already use it and are thrilled like us. WARMABLES keeps a healthy meal warm for 4-6 hours.
We are now packing our boy a warm, nutritious lunch cooked at home along with many other families in our area and throughout the USA.
